In the photograph, I'm holding my cat Tigger, who inspired many of my fiction books, including Meow Means Mischief, The Perfect Cat-Sitter, and my new book, The Valentine Cat, about a cat named Munchkin.  Sooty, a school cat I met in Oregon, helped me find just the right ending for Munchkin's story.
